Hotel Room Attendant

You clean the rooms on your list: stripping and making the beds, cleaning the bathroom, dusting, vacuuming and refilling the minibar and the amenities. A departure room gets the full clean and a check of the safe and the drawers, a stay room gets the daily service. Anything left behind goes to the housekeeper with a note, and a fault in the room is reported the same hour. The round is fourteen to sixteen rooms in an eight hour shift, mostly 08:00-16:00.

Finished primary school

Experience in a hotel or in cleaning is an advantage

Working to a room list and to a time per room

English at B1 for short exchanges with guests

Net salary from 681 up to 817 EUR per month

Attendants who hold the room standard through a season move to the floor supervisor round, checking rooms before they are released for sale.

Work is indoors in heated corridors and rooms, with a service lift and a trolley for the linen. Gloves, a uniform and non slip shoes are supplied, and heavy linen bags are moved on the trolley.
