Delivery Driver

You load the vehicle at the depot against the delivery notes, check the temperature of the chilled compartment, and drive a fixed round of about fifteen stops. At each stop you unload with a tail lift and a pallet truck, hand over the goods, collect the signature on the handheld and take back empties and crates. At the end of the day you return the paperwork and any cash collected, refuel, and complete the daily vehicle check. Hours are 05:00 to 13:30 from Monday to Friday.

Category C driving licence, valid in Slovenia or exchangeable here

Driver qualification card, code 95, and a valid tachograph card

At least one year of distribution or delivery driving, not only long haul

Able to plan a round, read a delivery note and use a handheld terminal

Confident with a tail lift, a pallet truck and load securing straps

Physically fit for repeated unloading at fifteen stops a day

English at A2 for delivery paperwork and depot instructions

Net salary from 1330 up to 1480 EUR per month

Permanent contract after a three month trial period

Meal allowance and an early start supplement, paid monthly

Every night at home, no international routes and no weekend rounds

Help with registration, the residence permit and accommodation

Employer pays the code 95 periodic training and the medical examination

Work clothing, high visibility jacket, gloves and safety shoes provided

Drivers who know the round take on the dispatch desk at the depot or move to category CE trailer work, which the company trains its own people for.

A depot yard with loading docks and a chilled store, then a day in the cab and at the tail lift in all weather. A high visibility jacket, gloves and safety shoes are worn at every stop, and the vehicle carries a first aid kit and wheel chocks.
